Entropy is commonly defined as the measure of disorder (or order) in a system. The term has grown in cultural significance, from describing the tiktok-ification of modern society to even describing feelings – of uncertainty, a lack of direction, meaning, or purpose. At the core, it symbolises ‘randomness’, in systems, thoughts, and in outcomes.

Paradoxically, humans have for centuries craved meaning and created structure. There are countless examples of a strong structural backbone helping absorb unforeseen shocks, whether in the case of governments (civil uprisings), corporations (regulatory changes), religious organisations (politics), or people (untimely death of a loved one). So it is important that we view order and meaning and structure as necessary, not to counteract randomness and disorder, but to prepare for it.

This publication endeavours to find order and meaning - by delving deeper into questions and concepts for which it is difficult to find ready answers or even patterns. Since change is the only constant, and randomness is core to our existence, we might as well find some meaning in it and continue to move forward.
